I went to the District Automotive Service Contest at Kiamichi Technology Center, where there were 36 contestants from Sallisaw, Tahlequah, Stilwell, Stigler, Atoka, McAlester and Idabel. The top three placers qualified for the state contest later this year.
In the high school division, Tahlequah's Ray Mullins won first place, with Atoka's Lucas Reece second and Stilwell's Chris Valdez third.
Idabel's Jimmy Smith won the adult class division, with Tahlequah's Robert Suarez runner-up and Stilwell's Jacob Ketcher third.
Save the world, recycle.
God bless our troops and veterans.
Have a great weekend.
