My encounter with little Razorbacks
On May 9, my mother, JoAnn Mattox, and I went to my daughter, Joni's, senior program at Union Christian Academy in Fort Smith, Ark.Afterward, I took my mom to Lin's Garden Chinese Restaurant for her Mother's Day lunch. As we're walking in, two ladies run out of the door, saying, “We're leaving. Don't go in there, too many kids!”I turn and look in the parking lot, and there's a Panama Public Schools bus. Now, I'm thinking to myself that this could be fun. I decided I was going to five these “seniors” all they can handle. I walk in, and all I see are about 50 midgets — all third-graders — making laps around the huge buffet. I love it! I was thinking that this could be even better. The first little boy that came by me just had two wings on his plate. I asked him, “Is that all?” He shrugged his shoulders and said, “I don't know what all this stuff is?”I was really impressed in which these Panama third-graders attacked the buffet with military precision and accuracy. They didn't run or fight, and everybody said, “Yes, ma'am” and “Thank you.” They had more manners than some grown-ups!Save the world, recycle.God bless our troops and veterans.Have a great weekend.• • •Any questions or pictures, make contact with Jody Ray Adams on Facebook, on the “Jody Ray Fishing Hotline” at (918) 649-7387 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
