Huggins says that the new clinic will include comprehensive medical care with pricing for uninsured patients figured on a sliding scale that takes income into account. According to Huggins, some patients could qualify for fees as low as $15 per visit.
Drug discounts may also be available to patients as Huggins said that SHWC would be contracting with local pharmacies.
The new clinic will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Fridays.
SHWC first opened at their Stigler location in 2005 and now operates a number of clinics and one retail pharmacy in Haskell, McIntosh, and Sequoya Counties.
Since opening, Huggins says that the goal of SHWC has been to provide quality affordable healthcare to those in need. According to Huggins, SHWC clinics have seen approximately 15,000 patients in 58,000 visits in the last year alone.
“It has really been a pleasure working with the local businesses,” said Huggins. “I’m looking forward to the opening of our new location.”
