No. 1 Poteau soccer boys rout Hugo; Lady Pirates shut out by Keys (Park Hill) Cougars (UPDATED)

April 4, 2013

HUGO — Fresh off their ranking of No. 1 in the Class 4A soccer poll, the Poteau Pirates had little problem in their first game after being voted the top team in the state. The Pirates humbled the Hugo Buffaloes 10-0 Tuesday night in their second district game of the season.
However, the Poteau Lady Pirates were not as successful in their district road opener as they lost 3-0 to the Keys (Park Hill) Lady Cougars on Tuesday night in Park Hill.
Both Poteau teams will return action Friday night, hitting the road to face Westville. The girls match will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the boys match at 7 p.m.
