No game once again for Bokoshe this week

October 23, 2012

BOKOSHE — After a two week hiatus from the football field, the Bokoshe Tigers were hoping to return to action this week in a battle of Tigers at Maud. However, that Tiger tussle will have to wait until next year.
For the second straight District C-4 game, the Tigers (1-7 overall, 0-6 in district play) will have to forfeit to Maud (5-3, 3-3) due to lack of players.
“I think we'd have enough to play a basketball game because you only need eight players for that,” said Tyler Massey, Bokoshe's second-year coach. “But we just don't have enough for a football game.”
Massey said there is a strong chance that the season finale on Nov. 2 against Southwest Covenant for Senior Night will also go down as a forfeit for the same reason. However, the game is still on as of this moment.
