AREA...EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS. ONSET...ONGOING THROUGH MIDDAY. DISCUSSION... VERY COLD TEMPERATURES AND NORTHERLY WINDS WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS...LEADING TO DANGEROUS SUBZERO WIND CHILLS IN EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS. WIND CHILLS VALUES BETWEEN 10 AND 20 BELOW ZERO WILL BE COMMON NORTH OF INTERSTATE 40...AND BETWEEN ZERO AND 10 BELOW ZERO SOUTH OF THE INTERSTATE. ALTHOUGH WELL BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN ALL DAY...A DECREASE IN WIND SPEEDS BY THE AFTERNOON WILL DIMINISH THE WIND CHILL THREAT AFTER THE NOON HOUR.
