Officials work together to bring drop box to county

February 14, 2012

LeFlore County residents now have a safe way to dispose of their unused and unwanted prescription medications.
The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, the LeFlore County Sheriff's Department, and the Wreck-Less Drug Free Coalition of Poteau have recently completed a cooperative effort to bring a prescription medication drop box to LeFlore County.
On Friday, February 10, OBN Director Darrell Weaver, LeFlore County Sheriff Bruce Curnutt, State Senator Mark Allen, and Wreck-Less Drug Free Coalition representative B.J. Barnes gathered at the LeFlore County Sheriff's office to install the new drug collection box. The box is accessible to anyone, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
