Oran Lee Ross

Oran Lee Ross, 80, of Cameron died Wednesday,
Sept. 14, 2011, in Cameron. Oran was born Sept. 5,
1931, in Hackett, Ark., to Glenn and Grace Ray Ross.
Oran was an engineer at Whirlpool where he retired
after 37 years. He was on the Cameron City Council for
50 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and
served during the Korean War. He was preceded in
death by his parents; wife of 56 years, Earlene Ross and
brother, Gene Ross.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lea and
Jim Ridenour of Cameron; son, Byron Ross of Cameron;
grandchildren and spouses: Ross Ridenour and Candace
Lett and Bryan and Angila Montgomery of Cameron, John
and Tabby Ridenour of Fayetteville, Ark., and Sara
Ridenour of Cameron; great-grandchildren, Aiden
Hildebrant of Fayetteville, Ashley Montgomery, Isabelle
Ridenour and Kloe Montgomery of Cameron; other relatives
and loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 19, at Evans
Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with The Rev. Jim Cook
officiating. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Ross Ridenour, Bryan
Montgomery, John Ridenour and son-in-law, Jim
Ridenour.
The family will visit with friends and relatives at the
funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m.
