Paige Breanne Underwood

Paige Breanne Underwood, 16, of Shady Point died Thursday, May 17, 2012, in Calhoun as a result of an auto accident. Paige was born Oct. 3, 1995, in Tupelo, Miss., to Jerry Jr. and Melissa K. (Bradley) Underwood. She was a student at Poteau High School; a National Honor Society Student, Secretary of the FFA and on the varsity Soccer Team. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmothers, Brenda Underwood and Harriett June Holcomb.
Survivors include her parents, Melissa and Kevin Holcomb of Shady Point, Jerry Underwood Jr. of Mantachie, Miss.; sisters, Ashley Guin and fiancé, Bret Newman of Spiro, Harlee Underwood of Mantachie; maternal grandparents, David and Dianne Reese of Fulton, Miss., H.C. and Betty Bradley of Marietta, Miss.; paternal grandfather, Jerry Underwood Sr. of Mantachie, Cecil and Vera Holcomb of Talihina;  paternal great-grandmother, Flora King of Talihina; niece, Emma Kathryn Newman of Spiro; numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at Bob Lee Kidd Civic Center, Poteau. The family will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-8 p.m. to visit with relatives and friends.
A scholarship fund in Paige’s name will be established at Arvest Bank.
