Panama girls get shot at No. 1 Colbert in Class 2A State Tournament today

An old adage says, “To be the best, you have to beat the best.” The Panama Lady Razorbacks softball team hopes to have that saying become reality today.
The Lady ’Backs (25-9) will meet No. 1 Colbert at 5 p.m. today at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City in the Class 2A State Tournament quarterfinals.
“If we go play like we have been playing, we'll be just fine,” Panama Coach Grant Ralls said. “We're peaking at the right time. The girls believe they can win, and we coaches believe they can win, too. The team is coming together this year. They've worked hard, and they deserve this. They're excited. We're looking forward to it. We're going to up there and fight. We're in the state tournament, and we know it's going to take some breaks going our way — in fact, we may have to make our own breaks — but that's what we're going to do. Our goal isn't just to get there, but to win it.”
