Panama girls, Spiro boys make semis; Arkoma Mustangs eliminate Bokoshe

Two county teams punched their tickets to the championship semifinals of the 81st LeFlore County Tournament on Tuesday at Carl Albert State College's Mick Thompson Fieldhouse.
The Panama Lady Razorbacks defeated the Arkoma Lady Mustangs 46-33, while the defending champion Spiro Bulldogs were too much for the Panama Razorbacks in a 73-39 win.
The Lady ’Backs will play Poteau at 7 p.m. Friday on Chris Gillespie Court at Ray Henson Gymnasium in Talihina for the chance to play for the tournament title at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Spiro. The loser will play for third place at 1 p.m. Saturday in Spiro.
The ’Dogs will face Heavener at 7 p.m. Thursday in Talihina in a championship semifinal.
The first elimination game of the tournament took place Tuesday night as the Arkoma Mustangs defeated the Bokoshe Tigers 58-32 to stay alive for a chance to play for the consolation finals at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Wister.
