Panama goes for upset win over No. 4 Vian

October 14, 2011

For the past six weeks, Class 2A's fourth-ranked Vian Wolverines have handled the opposition. For Week 7, the opposition will be the Panama Razorbacks at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Vian.
The Razorbacks (0-6, 0-3 in District 2A-6) will look to end their 16-game losing streak in tonight's game against the Wolverines (6-0, 2-0). First-year Coach Brandon Ellis said his team is going to do nothing any different than in the previous six weeks.
“We're not going to change what we do,” he said. “We're going to stick with what we do, and that's what will soon be repetitious for them. Vian was young like we are, and I think our program can be on the same type of path. For our young guys who are freshmen and sophomores now, they'll be seasoned by the time they're juniors and seniors. We want to never have our kids give up, and play for all four quarters. We're going to work on the little things to get better.”
