PANAMA — The Panama Razorbacks faced their ol' Leflore county rivlal the Pocola Indians Friday night at George Ollie Stadium with playoff implications for both teams. The Razorbacks came out victorious by a score of 20-14, with one of their touchdowns coming from the defensive side of the ball.
The win, coupled with Hugo's 35-22 upset win over Wilburton on Friday night, gave the Razorbacks (4-5 overall, 3-2 in District 2A-6 play) third place, regardless of what happens on Senior Night next Friday night against Vian.
“It's unbelievable,” said Brandon Ellis, Panama's second-year coach. “Our two goals at the start of the season were to better our record — and we did that — and to make the playoffs. God bless us we did that, too.”
