EDMOND — Panama’s Stephanie Barcheers was on the winning team in the 2014 Oklahoma Fast-Pitch Softball Coaches Association’s Small School All-State Game on Saturday at Oklahoma Christian University of Science and Arts.
Barcheers, a Carl Albert State College signee, reached base once via a walk out of her three plate appearances as the Small East beat the Small West 11-2. The game was originally scheduled to be played at the University of Oklahoma, but OU’s field was too wet.
Next Saturday will be the 2014 Oklahoma Slow-Pitch Softball Coaches Association’s All-State Games, which are scheduled to take place at OU. LeFlore County will have three players in those games. Poteau’s RaeLynn Caldwell, a CASC signee, and Heavener’s Savannah Steelman will play on the Large East team, while Pocola’s Taylor Farley will play on the Middle East team.
