Panama steps out of district play for road game against Quinton

October 16, 2013

Two weeks ago, the Panama Razorbacks suffered a rough 34-0 loss to Hartshorne, but bounced back last week with a 40-22 homecoming win over Antlers at George Ollie Stadium.
“It was a huge game for us,” Panama coach Brandon Ellis said. “The kids played really well. There's always distractions with homecoming, but the kids were focused. They knew what the task at hand was, and they handled things well.”
The Razorbacks (4-2) will step out of District 2A-6 play to play a road game against the Quinton Savages (3-3) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Since both districts, Panama's District 2A-6 and Quinton's A-6, have only seven teams in them as opposed to the traditional eight-team districts, there's always a date where a team has a choice of one of two things — either play somebody non-district or be idle. Ellis said the Hogs prefer the former.

To Get There — Take U.S. 59 north to Oklahoma State Highway 31. Take Highway 31 west to Quinton.
