February 12, 2014

PARIS, Texas — Under chilly weather conditions, the Carl Albert State College baseball team opened its 2014 season by suffering a pair of close losses to Paris Junior College by scores of 3-0 and 3-1.
The Vikings will have their home-opening series this weekend at Ival Goodman Field as they will play Highland Community College from Kansas. The teams will play a single nine-inning beginning at 2 p.m. Friday, then play a noon doubleheader — a nine-inning game and a seven-inning game — on Saturday, then wrap up the series with a single nine-inning game at noon Sunday.
