Patricia Ann Beason

Patricia Ann Beason, 75, of Wister went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark. Pat was born Feb. 18, 1938, in Tahlequah to Ernest and Leona (Hicks) Powell. She was retired from G’s Cleaners. Pat was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Wister for more than 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Tom and Wayne Powell.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years (married July 2, 1955), Billy Joe Sr. of the home; sons, Billy Joe Beason Jr. and wife Darlene of Wister, Ricky Beason of Wister, Steven Beason of Wister; daughters, Sherri Smith and husband Jeff of Poteau, Traci Bethell of Wister, Kelly Turnipseed and husband Shain of Wister; brothers, Jim Powell of Tahlequah, Jack Powell of California; sister-in-law, Betty Abel; brother-in-law, Charles Beason; 13 grandchildren, Rusty, Gary, John, Chris, Jennifer, Lacy, Katy, Tyler, Devin, Cody, Daniel, Colby, Easton; eight great-grandchildren, Mackensie, Brayli, Paityn, Taryn, Preslei, Tucker, Cayden, Kinlee; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loved ones. 
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at First Baptist Church in Wister with the Rev. Keith Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Glendale-Mount View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rusty, Gary, John, Chris Beason, Cody and Daniel Kimble and Colby Turnipseed; Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Clements, Terry Thompson, Colton Woolbright, Jesse Hammons, Scotty Helfrich and T.W. Emerson.
 The family will visit with relatives and friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
