Patricia Roberta “Tommie” Ragland

Patricia Roberta “Tommie” Ragland, 89, of Poteau died Monday, March 31, 2014, in Poteau. Tommie was born Sept. 14, 1924 in Leflore to Edmond H. and Clara B. (Fulton) Kennedy. She was retired from Dixie Cup in Fort Smith, Ark., and worked as a teachers aide and secretary at Talihina Schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poteau. Tommie was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Bea Kennedy; brother, Hugh Jr.; and sister, Sue Dutton.
Survivors include her husband, Doyle of the home; sons and their wives, Jimmy and Dottie Ragland of Apache Junction, Ariz., Ronald and Pat Ragland of Vian; four grandchildren, Tracy, Forest, Heath and Erin; eight great-grandchildren; sister and brothers in law, Martha and Harvey Walden of Leflore and Harold Dutton of Poteau.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 4, at Evans Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will be in Leflore Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tracy Ragland, Forest Ragland, Heath Ragland, Ray Brown, Robert Dutton and Dewayne Walden.
Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Evans and Miller Funeral Home
