Philip Ray Kinnamon, 71, of Fort Smith, Ark., died Monday, May 5, 2014, in Fort Smith. Philip was born Sept. 26, 1942, in Wichita, Kan., to Kenneth Henrick and Alma Mearl (Cunningham) Kinnamon. He was a computer programmer. Philip attended Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Barling, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Marcus and Terry.
Survivors include his wife, Nickie Kinnamon of the home; daughter, De Anice Newman of Poteau; son, Philip Alan Kinnamon of Irving, Texas; stepson, James William Cox of New Orleans, La.; three grandchildren, Brooke Hayley Cox, David Newman and Jacob Kinnamon; sister and brother-in-law, Leanora and Clark Umfleet of Harlowton, Mont.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth Jr. and Ruth Kinnamon of Rogers, Ark., James and Marilyn Kinnamon of Yukon; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau. Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1301 Frank St., Barling, Ark., with Father Henry B. Mischkowiuski officiating.
Evans and Miller Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
