There's only five days left until Christmas and I haven't bought a cotton-picking present yet. I've got to get in gear. All guys wait until the last minute anyway ... that's how God wired us, but we always get it done.
The Poteau Men's Athletic Club [PMAC] didn't waste any time with its “Operation Christmas Bicycle Program.” The organization got money donated and bought 20 bikes and put all of them together in just three days, and delivered them to the Poteau Upper Elementary for the LeFlore County Youth Services to give out this Christmas.
PMAC Manager Kelly Clark, the event's organizer, said that it was wonderful how everyone came together to donate their time and money to get this project done so fast. I agree — and trying to get these “old timers” to agree on anything is a miracle in itself! I swear they will argue with a fence post. You've got to love all of them because they all have hearts of gold.
I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Due to the holidays, I'll be off next week, and will return Jan. 10. So, I'll see you then.
Save the world, recycle.
God bless our troops and veterans.
Have Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
