Pocola Indians want mistake-free scrimmage tonight against Gore

August 23, 2013

When the Pocola Indians football team has its first scrimmage of the preseason against the Gore Pirates at 6 tonight at John Carter Field, coach Rick Lang wants to see no mistakes — or at least very few of them.
“I want our kids to eliminate mistakes,” he said. “We knew we lost some games last year we shouldn't have because we made mistakes. I want a mistake-free scrimmage. I want us to be disciplined, and I think we will because we're more experienced. I want our kids to play with emotion and excitement. I want to see who wants to play and battle for some spots, but I do want to come out of it healthy.”
