SPIRO — The Pocola Indians and the Leflore Savages staved off elimination in the 2012 LeFlore County Baseball Tournament with wins on Tuesday afternoon.
The Indians defeated the Bokoshe Tigers 12-0, while the Savages downed the Arkoma Mustangs 11-1.
Before the Indians and the Savages could meet, rain came and washed out the game.
The contest will be played at 11 a.m. Wednesday as Tuesday and Wednesday slate of games has been changed by Tuesday's rain.
Two games were to have been played in Panama on Tuesday, the sub-host Hogs vs. Howe with the winner meeting Heavener right afterward. However, Tuesday morning rain washed out those games, and they, too, have been added to Wednesday's slate of action.
After Pocola and Leflore play at 11 a.m., Panama and Howe will meet at 1 p.m., followed by the Panama-Howe winner playing Heavener at 3 p.m.
Then, the winner's-bracket semifinals will take place as Poteau will meet Wister at 5 p.m., followed by Cameron and Spiro at 7 p.m.
