Pocola seeks 2-0 start to season, welcomes Haileyville Warriors to town

September 9, 2011

Pocola Football Coach Rick Lang was hoping to continue his Indians' winning streak, which started during Week 8 of last season. The Indians came through with a 43-14 rout of Tulsa Regent Prep last Friday night at John Carter Field to win their fourth straight game dating back to the final three weeks of the regular season in 2010.
“We had a good outing,” Lang said. “I love to start with a win. We didn't know what to expect. They're an upstart program. They'll be much improved next year. Our kids came out and did what we expected to do. We executed our plays.”
