Police recover car, identify slain Okla. woman

June 4, 2013

TAHLEQUAH (AP) — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has identified a woman found slain in her home in Tahlequah.

OSBI says 40-year-old Tiffany Rene Maher was found dead in her apartment last week.

Investigators were able to locate her car after publicizing a description of the 2011 Ford Fiesta. A Tulsa man saw the description on television news and called police.

OSBI says the car was recovered at the Stone Haven Villas apartment complex in Tulsa on Monday.

An official cause of death is pending, but authorities say they're investigating the case as a homicide. The body was found Friday by Northeastern State University police who were asked to check on her.

No arrests have been made
