Police say driver crossed center line; caused 3-car accident

The cause of a three-car accident in Poteau on July 3, has been released by the Poteau Police Department.
According to the accident report, Corey D. Cooper, 25, of Cameron, crossed the center line on north Broadway, striking another vehicle head-on. Cooper, who was traveling south on Broadway in a 2001 Black Ford pickup near the EZ Mart crashed into a 1995 Green GMC pickup driven by Gregory G. Allison, 44, of Poteau, according to the report.
The investigation into the accident shows the impact caused Allison's truck to turn sideways across the northbound lane of Broadway which resulted in Yolanda Enriquez, 20, of Poteau, who was driving a 2000 Green Jeep in the outside north lane to strike the passenger door of Allison's truck.
Four people were sent to the hospital as a result of the crash.
Cooper was issued a ticket at the accident for reckless driving, according to Poteau police.
