October 3, 2012

It was a Saturday of Bandit League football at a rainy Costner Stadium in which both Poteau and Union Christian Academy, Ark., could be pleased as each side won a pair of games.
Poteau took the fifth-grade (22-6) and third-grade games (12-0), while UCA won the sixth-grade (40-0) and the fourth-grade contests (22-14).
The Poteau Bandit League teams will hit the road this Saturday to meet the Greenwood (Ark.) Blue teams. Games will begin at 10 a.m., with the third-grade contest. That will be followed by the fourth-grade game, the fifth-grade contest and the sixth-grade game.
