Poteau baseball regional, CASC baseball rained out Thursday; Class 4A Regional Tournament to resume Friday; Vikings playing Friday, Saturday against Redlands (UPDATE)

May 2, 2013

At least for baseball in Poteau, the winner was Mother Nature.
Thursday's rain canceled the Class 4A Regional Tournament at Town Creek Park as well as the Carl Albert State College Vikings home regular-season finale against Redlands Community College at Ival Goodman Field.
The regional tournament will resume Friday, with the host Pirates meeting Broken Bow in the loser's bracket final at 2 p.m., with the winner meeting Byng at 4 p.m. for the regional title. If a second title game is needed, it will be at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Vikings will travel Friday for a 1:30 p.m. doubleheader in El Reno against Redlands before playing their final home twinbill of 2013 against Redlands at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ival Goodman Field.
