Poteau boys anxious to get basketball season under way

November 23, 2011

Editor's Note — This is the second of a two-part story previewing the Poteau High School basketball teams.
The Poteau Pirates basketball team was 13-10 last season, and the Pirates are looking for better things when the season begins next week.
“We're excited,” Poteau Boys Coach Scott Nelke said about getting the season going. “We had a couple of scrimmages this week. We're ready to put on a uniform, and go up against somebody different. The kids have been in here for about three weeks. We're excited and ready to get the year going.”
