Poteau boys lose to Fort Gibson

What looked to be a pitcher's duel early on turned into a rather large victory for the visiting Fort Gibson Tigers in Monday's game at Town Creek Park.
After trailing 1-0 in the opening inning, the Tigers used a six-run seventh inning to break open a close game en route to an 8-2 victory over the Pirates, who now have lost three straight after being within a game of winning the 2014 LeFlore County Tournament last week.
Monday Games Canceled Due to Wet Fields
Poteau was the only baseball team to play Monday as everyone else was canceled due to wet fields.
Games lost to Sunday's rain and Monday's wet fields were Bokoshe and Keota at Panama, Whitesboro at Heavener, Talihina at Howe, Roland at Cameron, Arkoma at Kinta and Spiro at Stilwell. None of these games have been rescheduled at this time.
