Poteau cross country runner fifth at Coweta; Pirates fifth, Lady Pirates sixth as a team

COWETA — Poteau Pirate cross country runner Nico Hall was fifth at Thursday afternoon's Coweta Invitational. His time was 19:23.91.
As a team, the Pirates were fifth with 136 points, finishing behind champion Lincoln Christian (50 points), host Coweta (62), Pryor (126) and Grove (133).
As for the rest of the Pirates, Daniel Stacy was 27th (20:47.11), Christian Segundo was 33rd (20:59.27), Bobby Graham was 37th (21:36.27), Daryl Callaway was 59th (23:05.82), Will Longenbaugh was 60th (23:08.95), Josh Anderson was 61st (23:25.68), Hong Siu was 71st (23:34.32), Dylan Fox was 92nd (25:49.18), Eric Sanjuan was 93rd (25:56.97), Wesley Reeves was 94th (25:57.96), Hunter Martin was 95th (25:58.03), Christian Sanjuan was 104th (27:18.84), Noah Martin was 109th (28:02.54), Kendell Smith was 115th (30:16.21), Matt Hinds was 116th (30:38.4), Jeffrey Ridner was 117th (31:28.58), Trey Wells was 122nd (33:00.01), Bobby Elkins was 123rd (33:53.74) and Daniel Delgadillo was 125th (37:38.16).
In the girls' division, the Lady Pirates were sixth with 159 points. Host Coweta won its own meet with 39 points, followed by Collinsville (52 points), Adair (136), Tulsa Cascia Hall (137) and Pryor (153).
Deven Bond was the Lady Pirates' highest finisher as she was 20th (14:51.54). Sheridan Hoyer was 25th (15:05.08), Colleen Peterson was 43rd (16:29.07), Samantha Galetka was 54th (17:00.45), Tabby Waldrop was 55th (17:02.69), Shandee Staton was 71st (18:12.78), Katie Piquet was 87th (18:59.72) and Hannah Waldrop was 88th (18:59.95).
The Poteau runners will be idle until the East Central University Invitational at 4 p.m. Thursday in Ada.
