The postseason has arrived for the Poteau High School cross-country teams as they will run at the Class 4A Regional Meet, which will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa.
The top seven teams will automatically qualify for the Class 4A State Meet, which will begin at 10 a.m. Oct. 27 at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
“It will be the sixth straight time for the girls to make state, and the fourth time in a row for the boys,” said Tim Hall, Poteau's coach. “We've been training for this race since August. The way my schedule and program is set up is for one important race, and it's regionals. Hopefully, we'll perform and get into the top seven. I have all the confidence in the world in the kids right now. Other than a few little injuries, we should be fine. If we just go up and run, we should be fine.”
