Poteau girls golf team wins team, individual titles at Pryor

PRYOR — Class 4A’s defending state girls golf champions, the Poteau Lady Pirates, took home all the top honors at Thursday’s Pryor Invitational.
The Lady Pirates not only won the team title with a 379, but Class 4A defending individual state champion Hannah Ward won the the top medalist honor with a 78.
In fact, two other Lady Pirates placed in the top 15. Cathleen Manlove was seventh with a 94, while Skylynn Terry was 11th with a 99.
Dallas Terry shot a 108, while Alyssa Vineyard carded a 110.
The Lady Pirates will return to action at 8:30 a.m. Monday in the Elgin Invitational, which will be played at Lake Hefner Golf Course in Oklahoma City.
