Poteau girls lose to Tahlequah

April 21, 2012

TAHLEQUAH — The good news for the Poteau Lady Pirates was that they were not run ruled by the Tahlequah Lady Tigers, as happened on March 27. But the bad news for them was they didn't score any runs as the Lady Tigers prevailed 9-0 on Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Pirates fell behind 3-0 after an inning, and never did recover.
Poteau had nine hits, but could never produce any runs.
Poteau has switched out its Monday opponent (at Panama) for a 3:30 p.m. home game against Oktaha. The Lady Razorbacks, who were slated to entertain the Lady Pirates on Monday, had their season end at the Class 4A District Tournament.
