Poteau girls split four games in Muskogee Tournament; 10th-ranked Lady Pirates upset No. 7 Jenks, beat Sequoyah; suffer losses to No. 6 Muksogee, No. 2 Westmoore

MUSKOGEE — The Poteau Lady Pirates softball team split Friday's four games to begin play in the Muskogee Tournament, but one of those wins was a big upset.
The Lady Pirates, ranked 10th in Class 6A, upset No. 7 Jenks 10-8 after holding off Sequoyah-Tahlequah 3-2.
Poetau lost 8-2 to No. 6 Muskogee and 8-0 to No. 2 Westmoore.
The Lady Pirates did not finish high enough in their pool to play in the medal games today.
