The Poteau Lady Pirates softball team showed the Roland Lady Rangers it can win with both offensive outbursts and pitching in Tuesday afternoon's Class 4A District Tournament.
The Lady Pirates used a 12-run first inning to take the opener 14-0 in a three-inning run-rule contest.
However, Poteau used the 20-strikeout performance of senior ace RaeLynn Caldwell and one three-run inning to win the nightcap 3-0.
The Lady Pirates (26-8), who won their 11th straight district fast-pitch title, will find out on Monday their Class 4A Regional Tournament fate from the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association.
The Lady Rangers end the season at 18-17.
