SALLISAW — The Cinderella playoff ride for the Poteau Lady Pirates continues.
The Lady Pirates won the Class 4A Regional Tournament consolation championship game with a 59-44 win over the Stilwell Lady Indians Saturday afternoon at Paul Post Fieldhouse.
The Lady Pirates will face the Jay Lady Bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Muskogee Civic Center in the Class 4A Area Tournament. Three more wins will put them into next week's Class 4A State Tournament.
However, the same luck did not befall the Pirates, who saw their season end with a 48-33 loss to the Idabel Warriors in the regional consolation championship contest. The Pirates end their season at 11-16.
