Poteau, Heavener girls, Cameron, Pocola boys playing for fifth place

SPIRO — This afternoon's fifth-place game match-ups got set on Wednesday in Day 3 of the 80th LeFlore County Tournament at the Spiro Gym.
On the girls' side, Poteau defeated Arkoma 61-45, while Heavener beat Panama 55-44. The Lady Pirates and the Lady Wolves will meet in Friday's first game for the fifth-place plaque at 4 p.m. at the Spiro Gym.
On the boys' side, Cameron defeated Howe 66-59, while Pocola got past Talihina 55-49. The Yellowjackets and the Indians will play for the third time this season to decide fifth place at 5:30 p.m. today at the Spiro Gym.
The boys championship semifinals will take place tonight at the Spiro Gym. Spiro and Wister will play at 7 p.m., followed by Poteau and Heavener at 8:30 p.m. The winners will play for the championship at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Spiro Gym, while the losers will meet for third place at 3 p.m. Saturday.
