Poteau Legion still uncertain if home game against Okmulgee will take place

July 16, 2011

As of press time for today's edition, it was still uncertain if the Poteau American Legion AAA baseball team was going to have its regular-season finale doubleheader against Okmulgee in Wister.
The twinbill was originally scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday, but did not take place.
Poteau Coach Shain Turnipseed said Friday afternoon that he was waiting to hear from Okmulgee's coach. The plan was to play the doubleheader Sunday afternoon in Wister, but no time had been set.
Since nothing had been set as of press time, if there is a Sunday game slated, check out www.poteaudailynews.com for an update for if and/or when the twinbill will take place.
