Poteau looks to end season on high note by beating Muldrow tonight

Last week's 59-56 heartbreaking loss to Fort Gibson ended any postseason hopes for the Poteau Pirates. But the Pirates can still end the season strong by winning their final game of the season, which will be at 7:30 tonight on the road against the Muldrow Bulldogs, coached by former Poteau Assistant Coach Rob Johnson.
The Pirates (4-5, 2-4 in District 4A-4) were still hoping that even with last week's loss that the postseason was still attainable.
“Of course, you don't want to ever imagine that you'll lose,” Poteau Coach Jeff Broyles said. “We kind of thought there was still a way for us to get in. When we got home, we put pen to paper, and we are officially eliminated (from the playoffs). We're playing this week to get to .500.”
