Poteau Pirates have interteam scrimmage on Saturday night

The Poteau Pirates had their red-white interteam scrimmage Saturday night at Costner Stadium as they split their 63 players as equally as possible.
The Pirates started practice last week, put on pads Friday for the first time, and then staged a full-contact scrimmage on Saturday night, a scrimmage that was going to be used as a starting point for evaluating players.
Before the Pirates took the field for the scrimmage, second-year coach Greg Werner told his troops, “Right now, we think we know who will be starting on Friday nights, but you can loose your position if fail to perform up to speed tonight — and you can increase you position with a strong performance.”
