Poteau Rebels rout Stilwell Cardinals in Stilwell OK Kids PeeWee Regional

July 4, 2012

STILWELL — The Poteau Rebels got off to a blazing start to begin the 2012 OK Kids PeeWee Regional Tournament on Monday. The Rebels routed the tournament's host, the Stilwell Cardinals 15-1 in three innings.
The Rebels were slated to play in the wininer's-bracket semifinals Tuesday night, with another win putting them into the winner's-bracket final at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Things did not start well for the Rebels, however, as they fell behind 1-0 in the opening inning, but Stilwell's lead was very short lived.
The Rebels scored nine runs in the second inning and a six-run third inning ended the game by run rule.
Jackson Dorsey hit a home run, while Matthew Holdshammer had three hits — two doubles and a triple. Josh Neal got the victory.
