Poteau school holds Invention Convention

Poteau Upper Elementary students participated in the annual Invention Convention Tuesday morning.

Poteau Upper Elementary students, third through fifth grade, participated in the annual Invention Convention hosted by the school on Tuesday. According to Launa Benson, coordinator and school librarian, 69 inventions were entered this year.
The Poteau Women's League judged the convention, naming first- through sixth-place winners for each participating grade. The winners will be announced during an awards assembly at the school Thursday — fourth grade at 1:30 p.m.; third grade at 2 p.m.; and fifth grade at 2:30 p.m.
The winners will participate in the state Invention Convention to be held in Oklahoma City.
