Poteau soccer girls shut out by Keys (Park Hill); weather keeps Hugo from coming to town to meet Poteau Pirates

April 5, 2012

Keys (Park Hill) scored a goal early in the game and then added another late in the game to defeat the home standing Poteau Lady Pirates 2-0 in a district game Tuesday afternoon at Costner Stadium.
The Pirates were to have played the Hugo Buffaloes, but due to inclement weather conditions in the Hugo area the Buffaloes did not make the trip. It is unknown if or when the game will be rescheduled.
The Pirates and Lady Pirates are scheduled to take on Westville today at Costner Stadium. The girls' game will be at 5 p.m., followed by the boys' contest at 7 p.m. Then, they will play in the Greenwood (Ark.) Tournament on Saturday.
