Several Poteau High School soccer players were honored at the end-of-the-year celebration earlier this week.
For the Pirates, Zack Roebuck was named the Most Valuable Player for the season and the MVP Defensive Player.
Jesse Woodson,Blake Williams and Spencer Hall were named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association's East All-State Team.
Hall was also named the MVP Midfielder, while Roebuck, Kendrick Hardaway, Kyle Matos, Justin Barnes and Dylan Stone were named to the All-District 4A-6 Team.
Williams was named the MVP Offensive Player, while Ashby Clark was named the MVP Newcomer.
The Pirates finished the season 10-6 and got to the Class 4A State Tournament semifinals before losing to eventual state champion Oklahoma City Mount St. Mary.
For the Lady Pirates, Jeanelle Caballero was named the MVP for the season, Kaitlan Standridge was named the MVP Newcomer, Alayna Holdsworth the MVP Offensive Player and Taylor Carver the MVP Defensive Player.
Carver was named to the All-District 4A-6 Team, while Standridge and Jackelynn Gutierrez were honorable mention all-district.
