Poteau soccer senior boys have chance at history; Pirates face Oologah Mustangs tonight in state quarterfinals

TANTALIZING TEN — The Poteau Pirates soccer team senior players, from left, Carlos Garcia, Dylan Stone, Grant Scowden, Justin Barnes, Bobby Hill, Kyle Matos, Jordan Covert, Daniel Stacy, Zack Roebuck and Christian Sanjuan, will try to get the Pirates back to the Class 4A state semifinals tonight when they travel to meet Oologah in a quarterfinal match. The Poteau Pirates soccer team will play in the Class 4A state quarterfinals at 7 tonight on the road against the Oologah Mustangs.
If the Pirates win, they not only return to the state semifinals, but will do so at Costner Stadium.
