Poteau softball duo to play in Slow-Pitch All-State Game Saturday afternoon in Norman

June 14, 2013

For two graduating Poteau High School softball players, this afternoon will likely be bittersweet.
Poteau's Shelby Standridge and Gabba Wilson will play for the Large East as it meets the Large West in the 2013 Oklahoma Slow-Pitch Softball Coaches Association All-State Game at 3 this afternoon at Marita Hynes Field at the University of Oklahoma Softball Complex in Norman.
The game will be both Lady Pirates' final high school softball game of their prep careers, but it will also be their last game together as teammates. Standridge will play collegiately at Carl Albert State College, while Wilson will do so at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus.
