When the Poteau Lady Pirates faced the Stilwell Lady Indians just before Christmas, one of Stilwell's leading players, Sara Fountain did not play — and the Lady Pirates won by 20 points, 49-29.
When the two teams had their rematch Tuesday night at Sherman Floyd Fieldhouse, Fountain was back — and she made a difference. The good thing was the Lady Pirates still found a way to prevail, winning 54-50.
The Indians handled the Pirates 64-39 in the boys contest.
