When looking at the line-up in the home dual for the Poteau Pirates against the Vian Wolverines on Tuesday night at Sherman Floyd Fieldhouse, it looked good for a win as the Pirates were going to get several points on forfeited wins.
However, in the 10 matches wrestled, the Wolverines won six of them en route to a 37-36 victory over the Pirates
Vian also won the junior high dual 37-27.
The Pirates will wrestle today and Saturday in the McAlester Tournament, then entertain the Stilwell Indians and former coach Chris Barbee for homecoming on Monday. The junior high dual is slated to begin at 6 p.m., followed by the high school dual at 7 p.m.
