Poteau wrestlers sixth at Paul Post Tournament; Pirates will entertain Keys (Park Hill) Tuesday night in back gym at Sherman Floyd Fieldhouse

SALLISAW — The Poteau Pirates wrestling team came in sixth out of 12 teams in the Paul Post Tournament, which took place Friday and Saturday. Among the 12 teams were four top-10 teams — No. 3 Sallisaw, No. 5 Tulsa Cascia Hall, No. 6 Glenpool and No. 7 Jay.
Devin Anderson (120 pounds) and Roderick Hornbuckle (145) were runners-up. Khy Mote (170) and Daylon Brewton (heavyweight) were third, Chase Davis was fourth at 182 pounds and Sam Shore (138) and Jake Sheehan (160) were fifth.
The Pirates will return home Tuesday night to entertain the Keys (Park Hill) Cougars in the back gym at Sherman Floyd Fieldhouse. The high school dual will begin at 7 p.m., which will follow the junior high dual at 6 p.m.
