Poteau Youth Wrestling Club has members place at USJOC, Oologah weekend tournaments; local wrestler receives Academic All-State, Governor’s Awards at OKC event

USJOC PARTICIPANTS — The Poteau Youth Wrestling Club had 10 participants in last weekend’s USJOC Tournament in Oklahoma City. The Poteau Youth Wrestling Club had 10 members participate in the USJOC Tournament last weekend in Oklahoma City.
Three of those 10 wrestlers placed as Ethan Carey was runner-up and James Moss was fifth in the novice portion of the tournament, while Jarrett Lilley was sixth in the open division.
Other wrestlers who competed but did not place were Talan Fairless, Drew Moro, Remington Reed, Hayden Moro, Luke Brooks, Race Williams, Mason Francis and Jarrod Vineyard.
Brooks, while he did not medal, did receive the Academic All-State and Governor’s Awards.
One other member, Blake Dedmon, came in fourth at the Oologah Novice Tournament last weekend.
